Shouldn't have to tell students but seems we need to remind them…PLEASE have your students put their names on their supplies.

Blog page/ Blackboard: If faculty want to add a Blog or Blackboard page to your faculty page send Kat the link and she will add it.

Prerequisites: On your class roll make sure your students have met the required prerequisites for your class.

NO Soft Grading: If a student is not doing well in your class it’s important to grade students according to the work they are submitting. Soft grading can create failure for the student in future classes.

Withdrawing Students: If students are withdrawn from your classes please send a note to corresponding lab/camera class faculty as well as Lori & Cristine so they can make sure any equipment checked out to that student is returned.

FERPA: Please review attached link with FERPA information generated by ACC. The Photography department we will no longer store copies of grades. You will need to keep copies for your records incase there is question on final grades. Grades can be challenged up to 1 year. http://www.austincc.edu/business/documents/FERPA.pdf

Equipment Checkout: Speaking of FERPA. We will collect student information for the purpose of students checking out department equipment. Within the first week of school have the students email you their information through the ACC Google mail, compile a sheet with your class information and list of students and forward that to Lori in order for students to be eligible to check out equipment. Students CAN NOT check out equipment until Lori receives this sheet. Only pertinent to classes eligible for equipment.
